Cyclopure Assists with PFAS Testing in Northwest Georgia
Cyclopure provides PFAS testing in hopes of remediating using DEXSORB®.
Since its inception in 2020, Cyclopure’s Water Test Kit for PFAS has been an indispensable tool for detection and monitoring of PFAS in water. The Kit works because of DEXSORB®, our patented beta-cyclodextrine adsorbent developed to remove PFAS and other organic micropollutants from water supplies. Our Water Test Kit has been crucial in the discovery of PFAS in water and land in Gordon County, Georgia where numerous class action lawsuits have been filed against manufacturing industries responsible for releasing chemicals into the water table.
Currently, PFAS Georgia is fighting for Georgia residents affected by PFAS contamination from industrial manufacturing waste in the state’s Northwest region. Cyclopure is mapping the extent of this PFAS pollution through the testing and analysis of samples collected with our Water Test Kits.
In 2024, we sold over 400 test kits to residents in Georgia and PFAS Georgia. The testing has covered Northwest Georgia counties including Catoosa, Gilmer, Gordon, Murray, Walker, and Whitfield. The samples we receive come from kitchen sinks, ponds, streams, waste treatment facilities, and wells.
PFAS Georgia is encouraging the residents of Northwest Georgia to sign up to test their water.
As of December 11th, 2024, their team has released public waterway testing results from this region showing PFAS levels significantly higher than the established EPA limits.
In addition to Water Test Kits, Cyclopure also produces DEXSORB® Purefast® home water filtration systems that filter PFAS and other pollutants from your main water line and the Brita®.
